OUR MISSION

The primary mission of SANAP is to support advanced nurse practitioners in their endeavour to become effective members of the healthcare team in all community settings regardless of cultural diversity. The theoretical framework of the organization encompasses the nursing paradigms of humankind, health, environment, nursing, learning, and continuing education.
SANAP pledges itself to acquire current knowledge, explore new knowledge, promote advancement of life-long learning, and be committed to the solution of health problems affecting our society. These tasks will be accomplished through the following goals:
Assist and support novice practitioners with knowledge to facilitate professional growth;
Promote a caring and holistic approach to caring for humankind;
Offer an intellectually stimulating environment that encourages the continued learning process, and;
The presentation of the advanced practice nurse as a unique, viable, and dynamic professional practitioner in the community.
SANAP also recognizes its' responsibility to the advanced practice nurse for shared interaction and continued learning.
